Fatal auto accident at a Florida intersection

On Behalf of Rosenthal, Levy, Simon & Sosa | Jan 23, 2020 | Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents

There is typically a lot of traffic on Florida roadways in early morning hours. Many people travel to work at this time, and students are often on their way to school. The more vehicles on the road, the likelier it is that there might be a collision. Sadly, at approximately 6:30 a.m. on a recent Tuesday, there was a fatal auto accident at an intersection.

Investigations immediately following the collision revealed evidence that a 42-year-old man was attempting a left turn, moments before the crash occurred. Before he had completed the maneuver, a pick-up truck that was traveling in a southbound direction collided with his vehicle. The sudden and forceful impact of the crash caused the man in the turning vehicle to be ejected from his seat.

Subsequent collisions often occur in situations like this, which is exactly what happened that morning. When the man was ejected from his vehicle, he was hit by two other cars. Florida state troopers who were dispatched to respond to the incident say the man succumbed to his injuries while still at the scene.

When a fatal auto accident occurs at a Florida intersection, investigators must determine if driver negligence was a causal factor. In situations where a turn was being navigated, it is necessary to find out whether the driver who was turning had a right-of-way; it is also important to determine whether the other driver involved in the collision failed to adhere to traffic laws, such as running a red light or failing to stop at a stop sign. In such cases, an immediate family member of a fatally injured victim may file a wrongful death claim in a civil court to seek justice on behalf of his or her loved one.

If it wasn’t for your help, I know I wouldn’t have been able to win my case. I know that it was far away for you to come to Miami but your professionalism was outstanding. I will always recommend you.
Maria W.

You might say you were even just doing your job, however, I think it’s essential that you realize how fortunate I am to have such a trusted esteemed attorney in my corner, blessed really.
