Arrest made in fatal Greenacres hit-and-run
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident in Greenacres in December. Two men, neither of whom were wearing a seatbelt, were ejected from their vehicle and killed when a 2013 Porsche Panamera slammed into their Honda CR-V. Two women who were passengers in the Honda, as well as the 24-year-old man driving the Porsche were also injured. He then, however, sped away from the scene.
Palm Beach County Court records show that the hit-and-run driver had multiple previous arrests pertaining to traffic violations and motor vehicle crashes. He had previously been arrested for reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, failing to stop at a red light, grand theft, driving in the wrong lane, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
In events such as this one that involve a wrongful death, a family should immediately contact an attorney for guidance. It is likely that the family of the deceased would be eligible for substantial compensation on multiple basis. However, these cases quickly, and often, become quite complex in nature. A family who is grieving the loss of a loved one should not have to worry about what paperwork they may need to complete to secure their financial future.
While no amount of compensation can bring back a lost loved one, especially in such a tragic event, it can help a family to move forward and heal. Allowing an experienced attorney to bear the burden of making sure you are financially protected while picking up the pieces can make a big difference in the healing process.
