Florida’s favorite Chili Cook-Off is just around the corner! On November 9, 2013 from 2PM-6PM, come enjoy the 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off / Beer Tasting Event at Paradise Park in Tequesta, Florida!

Who could say no to chili, beer, and firefighters? Don’t be deceived by their buff exterior; these firemen know how to cook some mean chili! According to a few Tequesta Firemen, this year they are pulling out all the stops. “Every year we use a different recipe. We always have special ingredients, something to make our chili extraordinary. Our chili this year is crazy. It’ll stand out for sure,” stated Chef Adam. They believe their secret to success is their cooks. In fact, a few of the guys used to be cooks prior to becoming firemen. That’s not all that makes their chili stand out, though. Throw in the opinions of a couple of guys that are hunters and some “manly men”, and you’ve got chili like you’ve never tasted before!

These Tequesta firemen have got their eyes focused on their competition. Of all of the teams to watch out for, they think Palm Beach County’s Station 53 is their fiercest competitor. “They’ve placed two years in a row, coming in 3rd. This year we’re determined to show them who has the hottest chili in town.” When it comes to winning, you better believe that these firemen want the prize. “I mean, we obviously want to win the $500 in cash, but the real victory is winning bragging rights,” says firefighter David with a hearty laugh. “You get to literally say you have the best chili in more than three counties!”

Come join the fun and help the Tequesta Firefighters and the Tequesta Brewing Company raise money for Honor Flight, an organization that sends WWII veterans to Washington D.C. to see their WWII Memorial; and Friends of Public Safety Inc., a not-for-profit corporation that supports projects such as the Public Safety Monument and Public Safety Needs. As anyone who has been to one of their Chili Cook-Offs knows, there’s no shortage of mouth-watering chili and delicious, cold beer. With only 1,000 tickets for sale, the event sells out every year, so grab your tickets while they are still available
