Fourth Consecutive Year South Florida Law Firm Supports 70 Student Athletes - Donation to Lessen Families' Financial Burden

August 4, 2008, West Palm Beach, FL. - Rosenthal, Levy & Simon, P.A., today announced it is underwriting the $50 insurance payments for the Pahokee High School 70-member varsity and junior varsity football teams. The $50 payment is a mandatory fee that all Palm Beach County students must pay prior to trying out for any sport, whether the student eventually makes the team are not. The fee was instituted by the Palm Beach County School District to help offset the cost of insurance. This year marks the fourth consecutive year Rosenthal, Levy & Simon has covered the insurance payment for the Pahokee High School football program.

Last year the firm stepped in just days before the football season began. Pahokee went on to win the Class 2-B, Florida State High School Championship.  The title was the second consecutive State Championship for the Blue Devils.  This year, the team is looking to “three-peat.”

Four years ago, Rosenthal, Levy & Simon was the first area business to adopt a school's student athletes. Other area businesses soon followed.  Partner Steven C. Simon commented, “Tough economic times are a reality. We know that many families right here in Palm Beach County are facing financial hardships.” He continued, “As a law firm, we do this to both lessen these families' burden and again show our support for these student athletes.”
