Deputy Sheriff Donta J. Manuel - Sponsors 13th Annual Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation Golf Tournament

$5,000 Officer Sponsorship in Memory of Fallen Deputy and Former Client

April 8, 2008, West Palm Beach , FL —Rosenthal, Levy & Simon, P.A., today announced it is sponsoring the 13 th annual Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation (“LEAF”) Golf Tournament. The firm's Officer Sponsorship honors Palm Beach County Deputy Sheriff Donta J. Manuel. Rosenthal, Levy & Simon Senior Partner Gerald A. Rosenthal commented, “Donta J. Manuel was our client. Moreover, he was an inspiration to the entire community.” Rosenthal continued, “Deputy Manuel touched many lives. This small gesture is done to remember him and the spirit he brought to all he did.”

The 13 th annual LEAF Golf Classic takes place during National Police Memorial Week on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach . Tournament registration begins at 10:30AM. There will be a brief memorial service followed by a shotgun start beginning promptly at noon. LEAF is a non-profit organization that raises money for Law Enforcement Officers seriously injured in the line of duty, and for the families of officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This past year was a particularly tragic time for the law enforcement community with 177 officers lost throughout the United States , of whom 16 were in Florida . LEAF was able to provide immediate financial assistance, emotional support, and volunteer help at the funerals of the officers who were lost from the Palm Beach County area.
