Rosenthal & Levy, P.A. Adopts Pahokee High School
Third Consecutive Year Firm Underwrites School District Insurance Payment

Relieved of Financial Burden Student Athletes Now Set to Compete

August 15, 2006, West Palm Beach, Florida—The Law Offices of Rosenthal & Levy, today announced it is again underwriting the $50 insurance payment for Pahokee Senior High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Teams. Rosenthal & Levy is picking up the tab for all 45 players. Today, the players visited the law office and received the check, just one day prior to the 2006-2007 season start. This is the third consecutive year the law firm has underwritten the school’s football teams. In 2004, Rosenthal & Levy also spearheaded a campaign to outfit the then Class 2-B Florida State High School Champions with commemorative lettermen jackets. This was the second consecutive year the Pahokee Blue Devils were crowned State Champions and the second year the coaching staff struggled to outfit the team with the championship jackets they’d earned. This is when Rosenthal & Levy moved to “adopt” the school and the team.

Coach Leroy Foster commented, “This team is a family and most of our family members are not in a position to afford this payment. There is no getting around the fact that we are one of the poorest schools in the District. When our parents have just paid for school supplies and school clothes this extra money is a real hardship.” Foster continued, “When Rosenthal & Levy stepped to the plate that first year, they saved our season. We went on to win the state championship. Our goal is to repay Rosenthal & Levy’s generosity by representing our school, this community and their law firm as true scholar athletes.”

Commenting on Rosenthal & Levy’s support of the team, Partner Jonathan T. Levy commented, “The $50 insurance payment is meant to offset the school district’s insurance costs. But, nothing offsets the parents’ financial responsibilities? Luckily, my law firm is in a position to help and we will continue to help the Blue Devils every year they need us. These kids are our future. If we don’t invest in them, how can we expect them to invest in our community?”

Since 1985, members of Rosenthal & Levy have served over 10,000 clients from the Treasure Coast, Palm Beach and Broward County. The Firm maintains offices in Port St. Lucie and West Palm Beach, Florida. With 10 attorneys and a support staff of 55, Rosenthal & Levy practices in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, workers’ compensation, overtime wage and hour and Social Security Disability law.
