November 15, 2007 West Palm Beach, FL—Rosenthal & Levy, P.A., today announced it is the signature sponsor of the Karma Kastles Sand Sculpture Competition and Beachfront Festival. Karma Kastles is a community-wide sand sculpture contest being held December 1st 2007 from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Jupiter Beach. The event seeks to raise upwards of $250,000 in support of Karma Krew’s mission to expand the therapeutic benefits of yoga and mind-body wellness programs to abused and neglected children living in area shelters.

Rosenthal & Levy Senior Administrator, Lori A. DeMayo commented, “This event represents a perfect match for our firm-wide community partnership mandate. Clearly, the funds raised will provide a direct and substantive benefit to children in need.” She continued, “We applaud Karma Krew’s efforts and creativity in developing this innovative event.”

Karma Kastles was developed by Karma Krew, a yoga-based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization co-founded by Scott Feinberg and Amy Lombardo. The beginner-friendly competition brings together local businesses, families and groups of friends for a day at the beach and tests their skills at building sand sculptures. Funds are being raised through the purchase or sponsorship of various-sized sandlots for teams ranging from four to 20 people. Over 50 teams and approximately 2,000 people are expected to attend the event. Participants will be judged on skill, creativity, and the technical difficulty involved in creating the sand sculpture. Co-founder Scott Feinberg stated, “This event allows the community and local businesses to support abused and neglected children in a way that will have a sustaining impact on their lives through an event which is pure fun. As it should be, the real winners are the children.”

Studies have shown that yoga techniques can help children effectively lessen high levels of anxiety and depression. Yoga also helps regulate symptoms of ADHD and improve overall mental/physical health while promoting the development of a healthy positive self view.
