March 7, 2008, West Palm Beach , FL —Rosenthal, Levy & Simon, P.A. today announced Attorney Joy E. Greyer has successfully achieved Board Certification as a Social Security Disability (“SSD”) Advocate through the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (“NBLSC”). Joy is one of only four attorneys to achieve certification in the state of Florida . Only 37 attorneys nationwide are Board Certified by the National Board of Social Security Disability Advocates. She joins a growing number of SSD attorneys that have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession by successfully completing a challenging application process and providing the consumer of legal services with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel.

The elaborate screening of credentials that all NBLSC board certified attorneys must successfully complete includes; documentation of SSD experience, peer references, documentation of participation in continuing legal education, evaluation of legal writing skills, report of all disciplinary matters brought before any official body, either public or confidential, for scrutiny by the NBLSC Standards Committee, and the completion of a day long examination. NBLSC members maintain active SSD practices and are required to report their disciplinary status annually. Every five years members are required to apply for recertification to insure their continued commitment to their designated specialty.

Joy E. Greyer concentrates her practice in representing claimants at hearings in front of administrative law judges. She also served five years as a contract hearing reporter for social security administrative law judges. Joy earned her Juris Doctor from the Nova University Law School . She has been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since 1994. Ms. Greyer is licensed to practice in Federal District Court and the Southern District.
