Rosenthal
& Levy “Builds a Dream” in Martin County
Partners
with Habitat for Humanity Third Time in Less Than Two
Years
Port St. Lucie, Florida August
19, 2005—the Law Offices of Rosenthal & Levy,
P.A. recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity
(“Habitat”) of Martin County “Saturday
build.” In just under two hours, volunteers from
the law firm painted the entire exterior of the house
which is in the final stages of construction. The house
is one of two Habitat Homes located on Clayton Street
in Stuart, Florida. During the build, the crew from
Rosenthal & Levy took the opportunity to meet the
recipients of both houses.

Commenting on the project,
firm administrator Lori DeMayo stated, “This was
a great team effort. The real highlight of the day was
meeting the people who get the houses. Needless to say,
that drives home why we do this.” This “build”
marks Rosenthal & Levy’s third Habitat project
in less than two years. The firm also provided manpower
for construction of homes in Indiantown’s Booker
Park and Greenacres in Palm Beach County.
The mission of Habitat for
Humanity is the elimination of poverty housing. Habitat
affiliates are volunteer organizations assisted by staff
personnel. The criteria for family selection is need,
willingness to complete 500 hours of sweat-equity with
Habitat, and ability to make monthly mortgage payments.
After completion of the sweat-equity requirement and
construction of their home, the family is provided a
25-year, no interest, no profit loan payable to Habitat.
Their mortgage payments are then applied to the building
fund for construction of additional homes for other
needy families.
Since 1985, members of Rosenthal
& Levy have served over 11,000 clients in Florida.
