Levy Hosts Toy Drive Benefiting
United for Families Foster Care and Related Services
Firm Adopts 60 Children
January 9, 2007 Port St. Lucie, FL—Rosenthal
& Levy hosted a staff run toy drive for 60 children
from the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County. All of
the children are in foster care and under the supervision
of United for Families. The children each provided a
first, second and third choice of toys they’d like
for the holidays. Rosenthal & Levy Partner Steve
Simon and a member of United for Families Board of Directors
commented, “Seeing our staff get behind this effort
was awesome. We started with 40 kids and got every one
the three wishes on their list.” He continued,
“I was blown away when our staff requested 20 more
kids. Every single child had all three of their wishes
granted.”

United for Families was created in 2002
and is the community-based care lead agency to provide
foster care and related services to all children known
to have been neglected or abused in Indian River, Martin,
Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties. Several agencies
worked together facilitating the formation of United
for Families. The agencies were: Children’s Home
Society of Florida, Family Preservation Services of
Florida, Exchange Club Castle, and New Horizons Treasure
Coast. The mission of United for Families is to break
the cycle of child abuse through a diverse network of
community partners and innovative services. For further
