Rosenthal, Levy & Simon Contribution Brings 12,000 Meals to Treasure Coast Food Bank

Rosenthal, Levy & Simon, P.A.\'s, contribution to the Treasure Coast Food Bank totaled more than 12,000 meals. The move was prompted by an NBC Channel 5 morning news story on June 6, 2003, covering the current shortage of food at the organization\'s main Treasure Coast warehouse in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Representatives of Rosenthal, Levy & Simon are calling on all Treasure Coast businesses to support the Food Bank in its mission to improve quality of life within its service district of Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties.

Lead Resident Attorney in Port St. Lucie, Debra H. Pierce commented, "Food banks are the only source of food for certain members of our community. I don\'t know of a more worthy cause than feeding our community\'s hungry." She continued, "While we know this contribution will have a positive impact, our hope is that other area businesses will answer the call.

As a business community we must do more." A Firm representative will present the contribution on June 18, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Food Bank Main Warehouse, located at 1102 South US Highway One, in Fort Pierce.

Alicia Vega, Operations Manager of the Food Bank speaking of Rosenthal & Levy\'s contribution stated, "It\'s just a beautiful thing. If more businesses followed their lead, we\'d have no shortages." The Treasure Coast Food Bank, Inc. distributes more than 1,260,000 meals annually to those in need by way of approximately 135 nonprofit agencies on the Treasure Coast and in Okeechobee County, Florida. The Food Bank also supplies USDA commodity products to over 55,000 eligible households annually in Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie Counties through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), by providing over 14 different locations.
